NOVEMBER 2022

The day will hold space for healing through discussions and demonstrations of self-care, support, and various approaches to improving health and wellbeing. Sessions will bring together the strengths of Western Medicine (OB/GYN, Midwives, & Perinatal Psychiatry), Holistic Medicine (Doulas, Ancestral healing practices), and the healing powers of being in community. We will co-create a liberated space that promotes healthy lifestyles through support, style, body work, art, and crafting a peaceful environment.

APA Moore Equity in Mental Health Fair scheduled for Saturday July 23rd, 10:00am – 2:00pm. As stated, it is our mission to promote awareness of the mental health needs of diverse and underrepresented populations and develop strategic partnerships to address mental health inequities.

In conjunction with our community partners, Howard University Centers of Excellence, Dept of Family and Community Medicine, student run Freedmen’s Clinic, .and many more Howard University departments will be partnering.

Opening the year with a student event bringing undergrad psych majors and psychiatry medical students together to meet and connect with other students interested in promoting and preserving mental health.
